Anyone who has served aboard a ship knows that when you are ill, you go to Sick Bay. Knowing David's love of boats, Grammy tells him he is going to sick bay at her house while he recovers from chicken pox. It is a lovely story, filled with warth and music, too.

I traveled to New England for inspiration for the paintings in this book, even visiting Mark Twain's house.

This was used as the opening spread for "Tuscany, the Hills, the Gelato!" Adventure Cylist Magazine

We traveled to Tuscany with my husband's cycling friends, one of whom is a writer. James Hudson is blind, and enjoys cycling in tandem with a captain, but he had no photos to illustrate his article. I was happy to allow my paintings to be published in the magazine. We stayed in a lovely villa, overlooking a horse farm. Unforgettable!
